More Public Input Sought For Downtown Ann Arbor Developments
A consulting firm is looking for feedback on options for possible zoning changes for three downtown Ann Arbor properties.
As WEMU's Andrew Cluley reports, focus group sessions will take place tonight at 5pm at Bill's Beer Garden and tomorrow at 8am at the Downtown Development Authority.
ENP Associates have developed several options for possible zoning changes for three downtown Ann Arbor properties. The firm is presently seeking feedback from the community on possible reductions to the size of developments at three separate locations downtown:
- The Ann Street parking lot next to City Hall
- a parking lot on Huron between Sloan Plaza and the Campus Inn
- DTE building at William, Main, and Packard.
Megan Masson-Minock is a planner with ENP and Associates. She says it's important to gather feedback that goes well beyond whether or not the community likes the development plans.. adding that several options were created based on meetings with the community last month about what type of developments it wants to see on the edge of downtown.
Focus group meetings are taking place tonight (Wednesday) at 5pm at Bill's Beer Garden and tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 8am at the Downtown Development Authority.
Community members have until Friday to offer feedback on the options online.
