Local Election Results (Un-official)

Un-official election results have Saline Township voters saying "yes" to a road maintenance millage renewal.  The one-mil issue generates revenue to take care of the township's gravel non-primary roads.

School district voters appeared generous with their support Tuesday, approving an operational millage renewal for Saline Area Schools.  Ann Arbor schools voters also approved a sinking fund millage renewal.

Voters in the portion of the South Lyon Community Schools district that dips down into Washtenaw County voted with their counterparts in Oakland County in approving a non-homestead millage renewal.

In Milan, voters said "yes" to a half-mil tax for senior citizen services.

Incumbents did well in Ann Arbor city council elections, with Jane Lumm, Sabra Briere, Stephen Kunselman and Mike Anglin defeating challengers.  Jack Eaton, who defeated incumbent Marcia Higgins back in August, also won election to Ann Arbor city council.

In Milan, incumbent city council member Dominic Hamden was re-elected.  Ann Gee and Douglas Gilson also won election.

All results are un-official until certified.  For the complete wrap-up, join David Fair Wednesday during Morning Edition on 89.1, WEMU.
