Kiwanis Grant to help Education Project for Homeless Youth

The Washtenaw Intermediate School District's Education Project for Homeless Youth (EPHY) has received a $2,500 grant from the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Foundation.

The money will help the program buy vouchers from local shoe vendors that students can exchange for footwear.

“I continue to be amazed at the way the community responds to the needs of our most vulnerable
student population,” said EPHY Program Manager Jennifer Martin. “The generosity of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Foundation will help to meet the physical needs of the students we serve.”

The EPHY program assists approximately 1,300 homeless students in Washtenaw County by providing basic needs such as school supplies, clothing, food and toiletries.
