Ann Arbor Parks To Remain Open On Weekends During Deer Cull

City of Ann Arbor

Twenty-six parks and nature areas in Ann Arbor that were scheduled to close daily for three months will now remain open on the weekends.

After getting feedback from residents, city officials decided to only close the parks Monday through Friday between 4PM and 7AM starting January 1st.

Sharpshooters will use that time to kill one hundred deer to control their population.

Anyone who violates the restrictions could face a fine of up to $500.  City officials say that if the cull is completed early the parks will open before March 31st.
