Election Inspectors Needed In Washtenaw County

State of Michigan

The Washtenaw County Department of Elections is encouraging residents to sign-up to be an election inspector.

With the Michigan primary presidential election in March, the department says twice as many inspectors will be needed.  Cities such as Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti pay their inspectors for training and for working on election day.

Ed Golembiewski, director of elections for Washtenaw County, says those interested should contact their city or township clerk's office.

Registered voters are allowed to apply as well as those who are 16 or 17 years old and in school.
