Three Residents Join Forces To Run For Ann Arbor Schools Board Of Education
The trio plans to campaign together and hope they get elected to change the direction of where the school board is going. Candidate Harmony Mitchell explains.
"A lot of the decisions that the board has been making for the last two years have kind of been going in the trend of the state. There's almost zero pushback with regards to what the community wants."
In addition to their similar views on state funding, they decide to go with a slate because they also agree that too much emphasis is put on standardized testing. They also believe the teacher evaluation system as well as special education services need improvement.
