On this week's Art & Soul: The Performing Arts, journalist and local blogger Jenn McKee and I talk with Matthew Brennan, the director and choreographer of the EncoreTheatre's musical adaptation of the 1997 British film "The Full Monty" in Dexter.
Jenn and I also discuss the upcoming world premiere of a new play at the Purple Rose Theatre called "Morning After Grace." It's about a couple who meet at a funeral and then wake up together after a wine-fueled one-night stand.

We also talk about some of the upcoming musical performances in our area, including a performance by Kamasi Washington at the Michigan Theater and a tribute to Michael Jackson happening at Eastern Michigan University called "King Michael."
On the literary side, Margaret Atwood and Nick Offerman are coming to Ann Arbor in October to promote their new books. Both are scheduled on October 21st.
