As our lives continue to change due to the coronavirus and efforts to keep it contained, the impact on our community is evolving as well.
WEMU’s Lisa Barry spoke to Sandra Andrade from the Ann Arbor Main Street Association about what local businesses are doing to adapt amidst the effort to stem the spread of the disease.
Andrade says it's important to continue to support the city’s downtown community businesses and their employees during this crisis.
She also discusses how many local restaurants are now offering or expanding curbside pick-up options, while retailers are offering ways for people to shop online.
Andrade says they’re also working to provide resources for workers who are facing reductions in hours or even unemployment, as well as ways the community can help.
