WCC Has New App That Creates Remote Study Groups During COVID-19

WCC

Washtenaw Community Collegehas an app that will help students enhance their virtual learning experience this fall during COVID-19.

The app is called CircleIn and allows students taking the same course to study together virtually.  Essentially, it replaces in-person study groups that can’t take place right now because of social distancing guidelines.  Linda Blakey is the Vice-President of Student and Academic Services at WCC.

V.P. Linda Blakey: When they’re studying together, they will actually be able to see each other just like if they were in a Zoom meeting or GoToMeeting.

WCC says that students at other colleges and universities who have used the CircleIn app saw an 80% increase in academic performance.
