Washtenaw County Environmental Health Division Office In Ann Arbor Reopens

Washtenaw County

The Environmental Health Division office in Washtenaw County has reopened to the public after closing in March because of COVID-19.

Residents can schedule in-person appointments if they need help with testing their drinking water or surface water at home, pollution prevention, or to get information on testing their homes for radon.  Kristen Schweighoefer is the environmental health director for the county and says residents also have contactless options.

Kristen Schweighoefer: Our lobby remains open. So, people can still pick-up forms if they do not have access to a printer at home, a lot of our stuff is still available that way. And you can drop off your water samples, we have a refrigerator there.

Anyone who enters the building will be required to wear a mask.
