Ann Arbor’s annual holiday shopping tradition Midnight Madness kicked off Friday, December 4th on Main Street.
Because of the pandemic, many of the shops will close between 9 pm and 10 pm instead of midnight. But unlike previous years, this year, Midnight Madness will take place during the first three Fridays in December instead of just one night. Sandra Andrade is the executive director of the Ann Arbor Main Street Area Association; the group sponsoring the holiday shopping event and says an online shopping option has been added this year due to the pandemic.
Sandra Andrade: So, a lot of them will have online codes. We note them on our website or sometimes just go to the website, and the deal will be there. A lot, a lot of them are doing that.
The Kerrytown and State Street shopping districts are also sponsoring holiday shopping events during the first three Fridays in December.
