The November election is next week, and Ann Arbor voters are being asked to decide four ballot proposals.
Proposal A would require the city to award contracts to the bidder that offers the best value to the community, instead of the one offering the lowest responsible price.
Proposal B would shift Ann Arbor to a ranked-choice voting system, if it ever becomes permissible under state law.
Proposal C would establish a procedure for how Ann Arbor’s City Manager could make emergency purchases.
Proposal D would allow City Council to grant the City Administrator the authority to make purchases for the city, when the cost is under $75,000.
Next week’s election will take place on Tuesday, November 2nd.
