A2Y Chamber Stepping Up To Help Local Businesses

A2Y Chamber

Many local businesses are struggling to make ends meet during the coronavirus pandemic.  WEMU's Jorge Avellan tells us about one organization's efforts to help.

The Ann Arbor Ypsilanti Chamber is providing its over one thousand members with information on loans and grants they can apply for to help them economically during this tough time.  Andy LaBarre is the executive vice president of the chamber and says they're also connecting them with government leaders who can assist them.

"Everybody from senators to members of Congress to associations that help certain components of the business community."

LaBarre says you can help maintain the local economy by shopping local, but being safe at the same time.
