For a gift of $200 to WEMU, you and a guest can join the whole WEMU crew with a pair of tickets for the Blues Barbecue Thursday, June 1st, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. featuring Laith Al-Saadi. The concert and picnic will be held outside of the EMU Convocation Center patio (inside in case of rain). Note: due to the potential for record attendance, tickets will be mailed after pledge is paid instead of the traditional names at the door. Please indicate the barbecue as your premium choice when you make your gift as this is a ticket event, rather than a bonus.
A reminder for WEMU donors. The annual Blues Barbecue that takes place this Thursday, June 1, is a ticketed event this year and is also a separate premium, not a bonus. If you gave $200, expecting to attend, but have not received tickets please call our office at 734-487-2229 or email email@example.com. Thanks.
Live music from Laith Al-Saadi, a great barbecue menu that includes ribs, chicken, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, and lots of vegetarian options, plus a cash bar. (Iced tea, lemonade and water are available with the BBQ buffet.)
All of your favorite 89.1 WEMU personalities will be on hand to say THANK YOU for helping make WEMU's Spring Pledge drive a success.
- Tickets are mailed for this event after May 15th.
- Ample, free parking is available on site.
- The pledge must be paid in full (can pay at the entrance) or set up on a credit installment plan.
WEMU and Eastern Michigan kindly ask that all children under 16 have parental supervision at all times. Additionally, there is to be no smoking at the event. Smokers may stop out of the party area and then return. If you're already made your pledge this Spring, your tickets will be mailed Monday, May 15th. This is a ticketed event and not a bonus with your pledge, as in previous years. A gift of $200 or more allows you to select the Blues BBQ as your premium to get tickets for two to this event.
If you haven't made your gift yet but would like to be there, you still have time.... make your gift here. We'll see you there!
