John Fountain

For 44 years, John Fountain was the "Voice of EMU Athletics," telling stories of heartbreak and triumph throughout Eastern Michigan University's sports history. Fountain passed away on November 15, 2023 at the age of 91. Prior to the September 21 EMU football game, the university dedicated the broadcast booth inside Rynearson Stadium to this legend—fittingly naming it the John C. Fountain Broadcast Booth.
