Governor Gretchen Whitmer says President Donald Trump would break a promise he made to her if he pardons two men who were convicted of conspiring to kidnap her. Whitmer spoke with Rick Pluta at the Detroit Regional Chamber Conference on Mackinac Island. He started by asking the governor what she makes of these possible pardons.

Michigan’s attorney general is setting her sights forward following the sentencing of three men Thursday in a plot to kidnap the governor. Colin Jackson has more.

There were no guilty verdicts as a jury acquitted two men of conspiring to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer and deadlocked on whether to convict two other defendants. That result Friday followed five days of deliberations at the federal courthouse in Grand Rapids. We have more from Rick Pluta.
