Sparrow Health System

Nurses and health care professionals have reached a tentative agreement with University of Michigan-Health-Sparrow, narrowly averting a strike next week. WEMU’s Caroline MacGregor reports.

Recent negotiations over health care coverage for workers represented by the Michigan Nurses Association and Michigan Medicine have failed. Now, the nurses’ union is prepared to go on strike. WEMU’s Ana Longoria reports.

Michigan Medicine and Sparrow Health System are now under one umbrella. As we hear from WEMU’s Cathy Shafran, the merger received regulatory approval and went into effect on April 1st.
