Growing Hope is interested in finding out how much interest there is in a local garden supply store, and will open a pop-up shop for a couple of months this spring to find out.
YpsiPlanti Garden Supply will be located at 9 South Adams in downtown Ypsilanti, and will be open for May and June. Growing Hope Executive Director Amanda Edmonds said the store will feature local products.
"We're excited for Ann Arbor-based Radius Garden Tools to be the basic tools we offer," Edmonds said. "We are sourcing some organic fertilizers that are produced here in Michigan, so we'll just have those basics you need to get growing during your Spring season."
The store will also carry Ann Arbor Seed Company seeds.
Edmonds describes YpsiPlanti Garden Supply as an extension of the services Growing Hope provides for folks interested in raised-bed home gardening.
