With the University of Michigan looking for a new football coach, students waiting for Tuesday night's basketball game had one name in mind.
That's former Michigan quarterback and current San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. While every student that spoke to WEMU said they want Harbaugh, some like Alex Copp think he's sticking with professional football. "Everybody's going to say Harbaugh, but I don't think it's going to happen. I don't know who else besides that, I don't know," Copp says.
Bryce Birchmeier doesn't think fans need to worry. "I think he's going to leave the NFL. If he's a Michigan man and loves Michigan. He'll come back," Birchmeier says.
If Michigan is targeting Harbaugh fans will likely have to wait awhile. San Francisco's regular season doesn't end until December 28th, and they're in the hunt for making the playoffs.
