A recent University of Michigan grad is making national news (and was even mentioned during Saturday Night Live!) as he runs across the country raising money for a good cause. I had a chance to speak with the man involved in "Project Gump," Barclay Oudersluys.
Project Gump is an effort to raise money for charity through his nearly 3,200 mile cross-country run. He plants to collect $10,000 for the nonprofit Hall Steps Foundation, which offers health care for the impoverished.
Barclay plans to finish his run on August 16. After which he will spend about 10 days in recovery, after which he will head off to law school and the University of California-Berkeley.
