The smoking ban in Ann Arbor is expanding to include more parks.

Effective today, the number of parks prohibiting smoking will more than double, according to deputy manager of Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation Department, JoshLandefeld.

"And it's going to grow to 156 of the 159 parks in the city in which smoking will be banned at those parks."

New signs are posted at the entrances to all affected parks.

Smoking will still be permitted at Cobblestone Farm and the golf courses at Huron Hills and Leslie Park.
