Ann Arbor's interim city administrator will present a $370 million budget to City Councilon Monday for the 2017 fiscal year.

Tom Crawford says the budget includes over $500,000 to hire new employees in departments such as public services.  $35,000 would go to investigate non-lethal options for deer population control, and $184,000 would be used for a study looking to improve transportation in the city.  That plan is called the Connector Project, which identifies mass transportation needs between connecting the Northeast part of the city with downtown.  The University of Michigan is helping lead the project.

The budget also includes $720,000 to replace street lights in Kerrytown.  City council is expected to vote on the budget proposal in mid-May.
