Ann Arbor's city council will receive the revised 2017 fiscal year budget proposal tonight.
The city hopes to generate nearly $3 million by raising the rates between 5.5% and 6.5% for water, sewer, and stormwater. Tom Crawford is the interim city administrator.
"Those increases are needed in order to cover the debt service cost, the operating and maintenance costs, and the capital improvements that are required for these very critical systems to deliver the services that they do."
A $370 million budget proposal will be presented.
