Chelsea residents will vote Tuesday on whether to renew a millage for the repair of school district buildings.
The millage will renew for another ten years at the current rate of about one dollar for every thousand a home in Chelsea is worth.
Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce President Ian Boone supports the renewal. “Good schools attract more people and [that good for businesses]. That’s what the Chamber supports, is making sure we have a strong community," he says.
The money will be used for the repair and maintenance of Chelsea School District owned buildings.
