U-M Study Reveals How People Typically Use Mobile Devices During Meals
You see it or experience it more and more: cell phones at the dinner table.
A new study from U of M explores how people use their mobile phones during meals and how those who took part in the study feel about other people doing so.
"One of those strongest predictors of how you're going to feel about this behavior is what you yourself do."
She said the study found using social media or going online with your phone during a meal with others was considered to be the least appropriate phone behavior, while texting or taking a quick phone call during a meal was found to be more appropriate.
