Attendance was up at this year’s Ann Arbor Art Fair, according to the event organizers.

They’re still compiling the data and crunching numbers, but the Art Fair's organizers estimate somewhere around 400,000 people attended this year.

Maureen Riley, Executive Director of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The Original says good weather helped boost attendance this year, which also translated into more sales for many of the artists.

“Most of the artists were pretty pleased with their sales this year, and one of the things we noticed all around was that a lot of big pieces sold this year, so that always artists happy,” says Riley

Riley says the annual Art Fair is a major boon to the local economy and typically brings an additional $12 million into the community.
