The Eastern Michigan University Marching Marching Band held tribute to WEMU for our 40 year anniversary of broadcasting jazz on the radio. The special performance happened during the halftime of the EMU vs Ball State football game, where the Eagles soundly defeated Ball State 56 to 14 last Thursday.
Watch the full marching band tribute below. You'll find a fantastic rendition of Sing, Sing, Sing, April in Paris, and Birdland:
Special thanks and appreciation goes out to to WEMU's own student librarian and saxophonist Emily, and Marching Band director Derek Shapiro!
