Michigan Democratic Gubernatorial Hopeful Shares Her Vision In The Ann Arbor Area
A democratic candidate for governor in Michigan is speaking to the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti chamber luncheon tomorrow.
Whitmer says, wherever she goes in the state, residents share the same concerns about how Michigan needs to improve.
“They want a governor who’s going to fix the damn roads, make sure our kids have the schools they need to be successful, and make sure every Michigander has a path to a high-wage skill,” says Whitmer.
Whitmer says she supports getting guns out of schools when asked about the Ann Arbor school case now before the state Supreme Court, and says she supported medical marijuana when helping her own mother when her life was ending, and supports an upcoming ballot proposal to make marijuana legal for recreational use in the state as well.
