Downed power lines have forced closure of a portion of N. Main Street in Ann Arbor, and it could be hours before the road is reopened.
North Main Street in Ann Arbor is shut down in both directions between Summit Street and Catherine Street because of downed power lines. The cause of the issue remains undefined this morning. Ann Arbor firefighters are on the scene to make sure there are no resulting fires and to protect the public. DTE Energy is sending a repair crew, but it could be several hours before the issue is resolved and the road re-opened.
The downed power lines have knocked out electricity to 139 DTE Energy customers in the area. Additionally, until such time the road is re-opened, the AAATA Route 33 buses are being detoured. That will likely cause delays in service for riders.
