Bentley Library Documenting Local Pandemic Experiences

The University of Michigan’s Bentley Historical Library is archiving coronavirus pandemic experiences.

They’re accepting digital items such as photographs, videos, and emails from their students, staff, and faculty.  The goal is to archive the personal stories of the U-M community during the pandemic.  Caitlin Moriarty is an archivist with the Bentley Historical Library.

"Looking at what we have from the 1918 flu pandemic, there’s not much about what went through from the student perspective or what faculty did in classes from their perspective."

Those records focus more on actions the administration took.  If you would like to donate digital materials, visit the Bentley Historical Library’s website for more information.
