TheRide Offering More Services During The Pandemic

TheRide

The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority, also known as TheRide, has started to increase its bus service after making schedule changes in March because of COVID-19.

Bus routes 3, 4, and 5 are among the routes that TheRide is now offering every 15 or 30 minutes to help relieve overcrowded buses.  COVID-19 caused some of the routes to be reduced to every 30 minutes or hour.  Bryan Smith is the deputy CEO of operations for TheRide.

Bryan Smith: Those are our inter-town routes that run between Ann Arbor and Ypsi and really show the highest demand. Our 4 is kind of our main line route that travels up and down Washtenaw.
