Results: Northfield Township Primary Races

There were a number of contested races in Northfield Township in Tuesday's primary elections.

Northfield Township Hall

With sitting supervisor, Marlene Chockley not seeking re-election, Northfield Township was assured a new face.  Kenneth Dignan III won a three-way race in the Republican primary and will be unopposed by a Democrat in November.

Incumbent Lenore Zelenock won the Republican primary over Michele Gerkman and will be unopposed to retain her seat as Northfield Township Treasurer in November.

There were six candidates in the Republican primary for the Northfield Township Board of Trustees.  Incumbents Jacqueline Otto and Janet Chick were the top two vote-getters.  Nate Muchow and Joshua Nelson garnered enough votes to advance to November.  They'll be joined on the ballot by Democrats Adam Olney, David Gordon, Christine Miles, and Dana Forrester.  The top four in November will win four-year terms.
