The Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority is reconfiguring some city streets as part of its Healthy Streets pilot program.
Nine streets across the city will see changes to create more social distancing for pedestrians and cyclists due to COVID-19. That includes removing turn lanes and parking spots to add more space. Residents should expect to see the changes this week and are encouraged to take an online surveyon the DDA’s website to provide feedback. Maura Thomson is the communications manager for the DDA.
Maura Thomson: The survey, not only is there a questionnaire, but also a mapping tool if you choose to give us additional information you can and all of the results are also posted. So, you can see in real time how people are experiencing the pilot.
Broadway, South Main, and Miller Avenue are among the locations that will be impacted by the pilot program during the next 90 days.
