Washtenaw Community College will hold an event later this month to help residents find jobs during the pandemic.
The free, three-day virtual event is called Career Catapult and is designed to prepare the unemployed, or those looking to switch careers, on how to adapt to the workforce during COVID-19. Brandon Tucker is the associate vice-president of workforce and community development at WCC and describes a couple of the sessions that will be offered.
Brandon Tucker: There’s a session working from home knowing some of the positions will start remote and may go in-person in the next two, three, four months. And then, a lot of network, knowing that within a virtual environment people are turning to virtual networking sessions.
The Career Catapult programs will take place from October 20th through October 22nd and are open to all residents, but registration is required. For more information, click here.
