Google Outage Briefly Impacted Virtual Learning In Washtenaw County

WISD

A worldwide Google outage affected virtual learning tools Monday morning used by the Washtenaw Intermediate School District.

WISD says that, between about 6:30 am and 8:00 am, services such as Google Classroom and Gmailwere unavailable to students and staff because of the outage.  WISD Spokesperson Ashley Kryscynski says service at the district has been restored but help is available if students continue to have problems connecting to their virtual learning tools.

Ashley Kryscynski: I would recommend reaching out to your technology helpline if they have one in your district, or you can contact your student’s teacher.

Kryscynski says rebooting your device can also help restore your Google connection if you continue to have issues.  Google says internal storage quota issues caused the outage.
