First Fridays Ypsilanti will take a winter hiatus after this month.
Tonight’s art walk begins at dusk and it will be the last one until April 2016. The monthly event is designed to introduce visitors to Ypsilanti's downtown galleries and art spaces.
Elize Jekabson, the organization's interim president, says First Fridays Ypsilanti has drawn visitors from all over the county.
“We’ve seen a lot of people coming out to First Fridays from Ypsilanti, from Ann Arbor, and from out of town. It’s been very well received,” Jekabson says.
Jekabson says 18 venues in downtown Ypsi will be open tonight. For more information go to http://firstfridaysypsi.com
