As businesses shut down and more people are being told to stay home, the Ann Arbor District Library is expanding its online options so people can still access their content.
In addition to offering e-books and other digital media, the district is streaming many of the programs and events it would normally hold at its physical locations.
The library’s executive director, Josie Parker, says it’s proving to be very popular and not just with Washtenaw County residents.
“People are watching it from all across the country. We’re getting emails and comments about if from as far away as the east coast and west coast,” Parker says.
Parker says they have also started letting residents apply for a library card online to make it easier for more people to access their content.
