EMU Donates Medical Supplies To Help Local Hospitals

Eastern Michigan University.

Eastern Michigan University is donating medical supplies to help local hospitals dealing with the coronavirus outbreak.

The university has delivered donated more than 100-thousand gloves, as well as face masks, gowns, and other supplies.

EMU’s Director of Nursing Michael Williams says they’ve already delivered three truckloads of material to St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor.

“The school of nursing and the physicians' assistant program and our orthotics and prosthetics programs had these in supply, and with the closure of campus we were able to donate those from our own stock,” Williams says.

Williams says members of the public can also donate medical supplies by dropping them off on EMU’s Campus at the Department of Public Safety building.
