EMU Launches Digital Dudes STEM Conference

Eastern Michigan University is hosting its inaugural "Digital Dudes" STEM conference on Friday.  89.1 WEMU's Jorge Avellan has the story.
 

Like its "Digital Divas" program, EMU hopes to spark interest in theSTEM field among middle school students, but this time focusing on boys.  

Bia Hamed is the program director for Digital Dudes.  She says the boys will learn about engineering, forensic science, and other topics.  

"How to code and drive an autonomous vehicle..."

About 85 young men will take part in the program.
