Ford Fund To Give Away 50,000 Masks In Ypsilanti Township

Ford Fund

The Ford Fundwill give away 50,000 masks during a two-day period in Ypsilanti Township.

Ypsilanti Township residents and small business owners will be able to obtain masks starting Friday, November 6th between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the township’s community center on Clark Road.  Susan Cerniglia is a spokesperson for the Washtenaw County Health Departmentand says masks continue to be essential when it comes to preventing the spread of COVID-19, but they have to be worn properly.

Susan Cerniglia: The idea is that the face covering is over both the nose and the mouth because you want to prevent the spread of that exhaled air or spit from getting pushed into the air.

Each resident or business owner will be able to obtain a bag with ten masks.  However, residents may receive more than one bag depending on the number of people that live in their household.  A second giveaway will be held on November 10th at Ford Lake Park.  For details, click here.
