High Point School Construction Delayed Due To Pandemic

WISD

The reconstruction of High Point Schoolin Ann Arbor has been delayed by three months because of COVID-19.

The Washtenaw Intermediate School District says that instead of moving into the new school in August of 2021, they’re now looking at the end of October of that year as a potential new date.  But Assistant Superintendent Brian Marcel says the district is not ruling out January of 2022 as another alternative.

Assistant Superintendent Marcel: There could be huge construction delays, related to weather. Potential resurgence of COVID-19.

High Point students, along with students from Honey Creek Community Schoolwho share the same building, are currently housed at Ypsilanti Community Middle Schoolat Willow Run.
