Washtenaw County Health Department Updates Local Statistics And COVID-19 Planning

The number of coronavirus cases in southeast Michigan has skyrocketed, and Washtenaw County is among the most infected areas.  Washtenaw County Health spokesperson Susan Cerniglia spoke with WEMU's David Fair and provided the latest information. 

Every day, the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus and the number of deaths goes up in Michigan. State health officials on Sunday said there are 5,486 coronavirus cases and 132 deaths in the state. Washtenaw County is up to 233-cases with five reported deaths.
