The city of Ann Arbor has chosen its new community services area administrator.
His name is Derek Delacourt. He currently works as the director of community and economic development for the city of Ferndale. His appointment will be announced at the January 19th Ann Arbor City Council meeting, but he's expected to start in late February.
Delacourt will focus on community development, parks and recreation, as well as planning and development.
He earned a bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning from Eastern Michigan University.
