Chelsea residents passed a school millage renewal during Tuesday’s election.

The millage will renew for another ten years at the current rate of about 0.925 mills. That translates to just under one dollar for every thousand a home in Chelsea is worth.

Chelsea School District Superintendent DaveKillips says the funds allow the district to repair and maintain school facilities.

"We certainly appreciate the support of our community. We think we’ve, over the years, have demonstrated to our community that we will take care of our facilities and will provide an asset to our community.”

Killips says the millage is currently funding work at North Creek Elementaryin Chelsea.
