This 4th of July holiday will be celebrated locally with traditional events, including parades and fireworks.

Monday marks the 26th annual Ann Arbor Jaycees 4th of July parade beginning at 10 AM in downtown Ann Arbor.  The one-mile parade begins on State Street and heads west on Liberty, south on Main Street, and ends on William Street.

Ann Arbor also hosts the Firecracker 5K Run before the parade throughout the downtown area.

The Ypsilanti Independence Day Parade kicks off at 11 AM in Depot Town beginning at the corner of Oakwood and Cross Streets.  Believed to be Michigan's longest-running Independence Day parade, this is the 87th4th of July parade in Ypsilanti.

Tomorrow, there is a celebration at the Saline Depot Museum from 11 AM-3 PM.  There will be fireworks tonight in Milan beginning at dusk and tomorrow night in Whitmore Lake.
