A single freeway stands between two Washtenaw County communities. but some aspects of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti can seem much farther apart.
89.1 WEMU'S Lisa Barry spoke with the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center of Washtenaw County, Belinda Dulin, about a special community conversation they are organizing to give people a safe space to talk about their perceptions and expectations for the two cities.
Called "Bridging 23," the forum is intended to put people together to take action. The public is invited to come together for this free event and start a conversation of re-imagining what the community can be. It's taking place on April 7th at Washtenaw Community College Morris Lawrence Building.
