Ann Arbor's Mark's Carts Is Permanently Closing
Mark's Carts in downtown Ann Arbor will soon be closing--not just for the season, but for good.
The location, which featured a number of different food carts, was owned by Mark Hodesh, who says he expects it to be permanently closed by the end of October.
Hodesh, who is 73, says the business requires too much work to continue, so the space will be put to other uses.
"I’m going to use it for the benefit of Bill’s Beer Garden, so we’ll have some overflow and event space, and we’ll also be displaying some products for Downtown Home & Garden out there, like outdoor pottery and plants," says Hodesh.
Hodesh says Mark's Carts has been a great experience for him, and he's pleased several of the former vendors who used the space went on to open brick-and-mortar restaurants in the area.
