Two Barton Hills Village proposalswill be among the 13 ballot issues Washtenaw County voters will see on the August 7th primary eleciton.

The first is a charter amendment to provide the village the authority to make improvements to private roads through the creation of a special assessment district.

The second proposal would allow the village to help determine who should pay for the improvements.

If approved, both measures would need approval from 51 percent of the property owners who live on the private roads before improvements are made.
