Cherisa Allen of Ypsilanti is a social worker and transformational coach who took the pain from her past and wrote a book to try and help others.  She has worked in a women's prison and says she is always trying to get women to look at life from the perspective of  "I am...I can...I will."

She oversees a women's empowerment group to talk about ways to deal with past pain and move forward in a healthy balanced way.

Lisa and Cherisa share the view that there is a lesson in everything that happens in life and loving yourself and taking good care of yourself is fundamentally important for everyone.
