The University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University are cancelling all classes for Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13 over concerns about the Coronavirus.
Classes will resume on Monday, March 16 through online and other remote means for the rest of the semester.
Similar measures are being implemented at Michigan State University, Oakland University, and Central Michigan University.
U-M is also canceling all events on its campuses that would involve 100 people or more starting Thursday, March 12 and lasting until at least April 21.
It is also suspending all international travel until at least April 21, with rare exceptions requiring approval. It is also discouraging domestic travel for university business.
